Role Overview The Senior Content Strategist – Marketing is responsible for leading the strategy, structure, and governance of customer‑facing content across the full marketing funnel—spanning brand and thought leadership, application and technology narratives, and product content.

This role builds and maintains a scalable, structured content architecture that improves content discovery, comprehension, and conversion while ensuring content is search‑ready and AI‑ready. Partnering closely with Brand, Product Marketing, Digital, and regional stakeholders, this role drives clarity, consistency, and measurable business impact across global content experiences.

This position reports to the Director, Digital Marketing Operations and is part of the Global Marketing organization.

The role will be onsite at multiple locations (Sunnyvale, CA; San Diego, CA; Boulder, CO; Coralville, IA).

Key Responsibilities

Own and evolve a scalable, structured content architecture across brand, use‑case, and product content, including hands‑on experience with headless CMS environments, reusable content models, taxonomies, metadata, and DAM integrations

Set and uphold editorial and governance standards in partnership with Brand and cross‑functional teams, ensuring clarity, consistency, inclusive language, accuracy, and evidence‑based content throughout the content lifecycle.

Design and optimize journey‑aligned, high‑impact content (e.g., explainers, solution narratives, comparison guides, SEO‑ and AI‑ready articles) grounded in customer intent, search behavior, and buyer needs.

Apply and advance SEO, GEO, and AEO best practices—including structured content, schema markup, EEAT principles, and question‑first formats—to drive visibility across search engines and AI answer platforms.

Serve as the primary liaison for external SEO agencies and partners, setting strategy, managing day‑to‑day collaboration, and ensuring vendor outputs align with IDT’s content standards, technical SEO requirements, and business goals.

Essential Requirements

Multiple years of experience (7+ preferred) in content strategy, content design, or content marketing roles within complex, cross‑functional environments.

Hands‑on experience with structured content and headless CMS environments, including reusable components and content modeling.

Demonstrated expertise in SEO, structured data, and answer‑engine‑optimized content, including schema usage and question‑focused content approaches.

Proven experience managing taxonomies and metadata standards for content and digital assets.

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, journalism, marketing, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Additional Experience

B2B technology, life sciences, or translating complex scientific or technical concepts for commercial audiences.

Familiarity with schema.org types (e.g., FAQPage, HowTo, Product, Article) and entity‑based content planning.

Experience with enterprise DAM platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager Assets.

Exposure to regulated, global, or multi‑locale content workflows.

Travel & Work Environment

Ability to travel occasionally (up to ~20%), including overnight travel as needed.

The role is primarily sedentary and performed in a typical office or home‑office environment.

Compensation & Benefits The annual salary range for this role is $130,000-$175,000 and may be modified in the future. This position is also eligible for bonus and incentive pay.
