Job Summary The Newscast Director and Technical Media Producer oversee live newscasts, breaking news and special projects using Ross OverDrive automation. They coordinate technical production from pre‑production to broadcast, ensuring clean delivery and quick responses to on‑air changes.
Responsibilities
Code and execute live productions using Ross OverDrive, coordinating with producers, editors, photographers, and talent.
Operate automation systems, pre‑prep studio, microphones, IFB, lighting and generate rundowns in ENPS.
Communicate with show producers to resolve challenges and ensure a clean, broadcast‑ready product.
Maintain Ross switchers/servers, Wheatstone audio, Telemetrics robotics, and Chyron graphics.
Qualifications
Completion of high school or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in broadcast television production or media preferred.
Minimum two years of experience in a live broadcast television environment with hands‑on control‑room experience (switching, audio, graphics, CG, robotics, automation software).
Experience as a news or technical director strongly preferred.
Experience operating and maintaining automation tools and software preferred.
Experience using Edius editing software preferred.

Self‑directed and proactive, ensuring results and adherence to strict deadlines.
Strong leadership skills and ability to guide a team.
