Newscast Director

Newscast Director WYFF, the NBC affiliate in Greenville, SC, has an opening for an experienced and dynamic Newscast Director. The Newscast Director communicates and executes all technical aspects of live production with all technical staff, including the Producer, Technical Director, Audio Operator, Studio, and Engineering. You will report to Newscast Operations & Program Manager.

Responsibilities

Direct broadcast newscasts

Provide creative input and collaborate with the newscast producer and production crew

Ensure clean technical execution of the newscast look

Call and punch the newscast

Requirements

2+ years directing and technical directing a newscast

Experience with production switchers, video servers, audio, and studio equipment

Understanding of MOS and basic computer network concepts

Knowledge of newsroom systems ENPS and video playback systems

Technical know‑how to resolve issues and work around problems that arise during live news

Will post to the website

Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including holidays and weekends

Related military experience will be considered

In‑person attendance is required
