Position Overview This Field Site Director is a strategic role managing Customer & Business Operations for a key semiconductor customer in the US. Based in Boise, ID, you will lead key strategic programs, serve as the main customer interface, and work with a team of approximately 20 highly specialized service maintenance engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Report to the Global Business Operations Senior Director.
Direct and manage activities for an advanced semiconductor manufacturer, including people management, program management, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure safety and quality performance at the site.
Improve Cost of Ownership metrics, manage complex ramp schedules, and accelerate qualifications.
Drive communication at executive levels within the site and Applied to achieve mutual goals.
Grow service and product business on the site, including software and hardware upgrades, gaining strategic market share and achieving revenue targets.
Collaborate with senior business group management to align programs, strategies, and processes with company direction.
Coordinate efforts between Applied’s product groups and the global account.
Ensure ramp milestones are executed to committed performance.
Provide approval guidelines and leadership for reporting managers on long‑term programs, strategies, site performance, and process design.
Coordinate with the Taiwan team as the sending technology partner for future nodal transfers.
Anticipate future customer needs and deliver on service commitments; own overall site responsibility for customer satisfaction.
Maintain a skilled workforce to meet current and future customer service requirements; develop individual employees and promote satisfaction.
Define performance metrics and report on site progress against business unit and account goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
10+ years of relevant experience in the semiconductor or related industry.
Extensive expertise in the field, strategic planning, and business analytics.
High‑level customer management experience.
Ability to lead, inspire, and motivate teams.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, negotiation, and decision‑making skills.
Strong knowledge of management methods and techniques.
