About Us We are a veteran‑owned and operated design‑build company specializing in high‑end residential landscape design and construction. Our work includes full outdoor transformations—patios, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, lighting, planting design, irrigation, pool and more. We focus on creating buildable, visually compelling designs for homeowners and contractors nationwide.
Position Overview We are looking for a freelance landscape designer to support our growing workload. This is a remote, per‑project role ideal for someone early in their career who is skilled in both 2D drafting and 3D visualization.
Responsibilities
Create detailed 2D landscape plans including but not limited to: site plans, planting plans, hardscape plans (patios, walkways, retaining walls, outdoor features), irrigation plans (zones, heads, drip systems)
Develop 3D models and high‑quality renderings
Accurately build terrain and grading models based on survey plans
Translate design concepts into buildable, contractor‑ready drawings
Collaborate and revise designs based on feedback
Maintain organization of files and project assets
Requirements
Degree or Certificate in Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, or related field
0–2 years of experience (entry‑level candidates encouraged)
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and at least one rendering software:
Enscape
V‑Ray
Lumion
D5 Render (or similar tools)
Ability to interpret survey plans, topography, grading, irrigation, and hardscape design principles
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and ability to meet deadlines
Nice to Have
Experience working with contractors or real‑world build projects
Knowledge of plant materials and planting design
Experience with irrigation systems and water‑efficient design
Experience creating walkthrough animations or client presentations
Compensation
Per project basis or hourly (rate depends on scope and experience)
