SENIOR LIGHTING DESIGNER – FOR IN PERSON DENVER
We are seeking a talented Senior Lighting Designer for in person work based out of our Denver office, minimum 10 years of Architectural Lighting Design experience.

In this role In this role you will be responsible for establishing lighting design and controls concepts and methods, acting as liaison with the client and project team, managing projects, overseeing designers, and facilitating all aspects of lighting design and documentation. Our ideal candidate has extensive lighting industry experience, is well respected in the design community, and thrives on guiding and mentoring other designers.
Your key responsibilities include:
Develop core lighting design concepts on projects and clearly convey these through use of presentations and other graphic tools
Work with the project team to develop both the artistic and technical aspects of the lighting design, from concept design through construction administration
Oversee development of lighting and controls design documentation, including luminaire specifications, photometrics, mockups, drawings, details, and controls selections
Serve as primary point of contact for the client, maintaining key relationships
Act as liaison between in‑house team and project design team, including architects, interior designers, landscape architects, electrical engineers, and contractors
Mentor other in‑house team members, including Lighting Designers and Lighting Specialists
Maintain design vision within the constraints of budget and schedule
Direct in‑house team’s priorities for time management across multiple projects, sometimes with overlapping deadlines
Manage multiple projects through effective communication and collaboration both in‑house and with the broader design team
Support marketing efforts and assist in determining appropriate fees and workplans
Contribute to AKLD’s knowledge base across market sectors, including sustainability
