Position Overview: The Company is looking for a full-time Foundation Designer to add to the team located in Houston. We are looking for an ambitious candidate that is proficient using AutoCAD and knowledgeable with both Post-Tension and conventional (rebar) slab design. This person must have previous structural design experience ideally in the residential sector.
Requirements
3+ years previous foundation design experience
Proficient in AutoCAD
Prepare structural foundation plans for mainly residential structures using architectural drawings with limited to no supervision
Ability to read and interpret residential architectural blueprints
Familiarity with PTI slab analysis software
Concrete experience outside of Texas is a plus
Familiarity with survey plans, plot plans and geotechnical report
Familiarity in building codes a plus
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide to compute percentages, and to perform basic algebra and geometry
Willingness to work long days and weekends as required
A team-oriented, proactive and adaptable work ethic
Work Schedule: Generally Monday – Friday day shift, however additional hours, including weekend hours, may be required in accordance with changing business needs.
