
Technical Instructional Systems Designer with Security Clearance

Job Responsibilities
Support technical training programs by designing, developing, and reviewing instructional content for occupational skill sets.
Create lesson plans, learning requirements, and scenario‑based learning activities.
Maintain currency of course materials through periodic reviews and feedback implementation.
Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to produce dynamic course content.
Utilize project management skills to ensure effective course development and delivery.
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 15 years of related experience; Master’s with 13 years; PhD or JD with 10 years.
ISD certification and at least 5 years of course development experience in the past 7 years after certification.
At least 3 years of adult learning experience in instructional design, instructional technology, experiential learning, or related fields.
At least 3 years designing instructional content for adult learners across synchronous, asynchronous, instructor‑led, web‑based, virtual, and blended modalities.
Minimum 1 year experience in the IC working in a technical mission area.
Demonstrated experience designing technical course content for the IC.
Knowledge of multimedia production tools and methodologies, including LMS, collaboration tools, Microsoft OneNote, WordPress, Adobe Captivate, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong technical aptitude to learn new software and hardware quickly.
Desired Qualifications
Certificate in Instructional Design from an accredited institution or a degree in Education.
Advanced degree in Science, Engineering, or Education.
Experience incorporating gaming, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, AI/ML modalities into course content.
