We are seeking a Contract Legal Writer to support a busy business immigration practice during peak workload periods. This role focuses on drafting and revising written materials for employment-based immigration filings, including petition support letters and legal arguments. The Legal Writer works closely with attorneys and immigration professionals to ensure submissions are accurate, well-reasoned, and compliant with U.S. immigration regulations. This is a non-client facing, non-signatory role. Contract Legal Writers play a critical role in managing high-volume immigration work.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, edit, and revise support letters and legal arguments for employment-based immigration petitions in line with USCIS standards

Translate complex legal and regulatory concepts into clear, concise, and persuasive written materials

Conduct legal research on immigration statutes, regulations, policies, and precedent; apply analysis to strengthen petitions

Collaborate with attorneys and immigration team members to ensure accuracy, consistency, and overall quality

Manage multiple assignments and meet strict filing deadlines in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment

Qualifications

Excellent legal writing, analytical skills, and strong attention to detail; ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines

Experience drafting legal, regulatory, or policy-based documents

JD degree preferred (bar admission a plus but not required) with prior experience in U.S. business immigration law

Experience drafting immigration petitions or RFE responses; familiarity with USCIS forms, processes, and adjudication standards

Compensation: $40-55/hr

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
