Position Summary
The Key Account Manager will promote SERB’s oncology products, pediatric Voraxaze and Danyelza in an assigned territory, differentiating the value of our products to customers and decision makers. The role works closely with internal functions (Inside Sales, Marketing, HR, Training, Sales Operations) and maintains relationships with customers, CSO leadership, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Meet or exceed territory sales plan and budgets by developing and implementing strategies specific to the assigned region. Establish and maintain professional relationships with targeted opinion leaders, surgeons, pharmacists, and other hospital staff. Develop account‑specific business plans reflecting market forces and securing buy‑in from hospital decision‑makers. Ensure products are on hospital formulary, EMR systems, protocols, and standing orders to drive pull‑through. Deliver compliant, on‑message sales presentations customized to customer needs. Develop and implement special programs (e.g., peer‑to‑peer) to maximize sales opportunities. Communicate safe and effective use of products to clinical staff, including in‑services for surgeons and physicians. Execute SERB’s strategies within the geographic area and maintain current CRM records. Work flexible hours and travel by car or plane as needed; a valid driver’s license is required. Meet credentialing and background check requirements, including vaccinations where applicable. Work 80% field time, traveling within the territory for customer meetings and conferences. Comply with SERB’s code of conduct, policies, and hospital credentialing requirements. Demonstrate core values and play a customer‑facing role within the territory.
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical hospital IV product sales or account management; 2–3 years within the geography. Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with pharmacists, emergency medicine and surgeons across multiple specialties. Strong business acumen with ability to analyze market drivers and adjust business plans. Strategic thinking and ability to create dynamic customer engagement plans. Experience working alongside physicians and staff in critical care settings. Experience with hospital pharmacies, P&T committees, and pulling products onto formulary. Knowledge of EMR and CPOE systems and experience with protocols/standing orders. Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills, with strong presentation and platform abilities. Ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and create organized problem‑solving approaches.
