Marketing Specialist

Position Summary An integral role in the department responsible for implementing marketing campaigns, collaborating, and assisting marketing team members with web, digital, social, special events, and staff enrichment. Provides prompt, accurate, and courteous service to all external and internal members (co‑workers) at all times.

Responsibilities

Collaborate on marketing campaigns, developing content and graphic design, and ensuring all marketing meets corporate brand standards to increase sales and comply with federal advertising guidelines.

Write copy and create designs for internal and external promotional pieces, including email and web content, posters, flyers, postcards, video, etc.

Work with the digital marketing team to incorporate digital practices into design elements and tags for digital, social, and email campaigns.

Coordinate with outside vendors regarding campaigns and marketing, such as electronic signage.

Act as liaison with vendors for credit union marketing needs.

Collaborate and assist in developing a positive, professional corporate culture consistent with the organizational mission, vision, and values.

Edit and review proofs for internal and external publications, including direct mail pieces, statement stuffers, newsletters, web pages, memos, electronic signs, posters, and other media.

Support PR, website, and intranet site by making copy and graphic changes.

Conduct market research, including consumer habits and trends.

Implement affiliate marketing campaigns.

Assist in analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, etc.) to improve success rates.

Support organization and departments in graphics and form design.

Compose routine correspondence and coordinate with other departments to ensure that forms and member information meet brand standards.

Coordinate special events, including collaborating on planning and set up for marketing, team members, annual meetings, and other member or community events.

Continuously stay abreast of all credit union product and service features, advantages, and benefits, and cross‑sell to prospective and current members at sponsor company orientations.

Create and distribute staff briefs.

Oversee Youth Club and Scholarship administration.

Comply with BSA regulations when performing all job requirements, and stay abreast of updates/requirements of BSA/OFAC/CIP through completion of assigned training courses.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Well organized and detail‑oriented.

Knowledgeable in marketing principles and tools.

Understanding of web marketing preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Excellent communication and writing skills.

Able to operate computer applications.

Graphic design skills.

Creativity – ability to generate new and unique ideas as solutions to issues, brainstorm, and develop non‑traditional ways of doing business.

Experience

Two to five-plus years of marketing experience with formal education preferred.

Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop, graphic design programs, and Adobe Creative Suite Pro (MCIF experience is a plus).

Bi‑lingual preferred.

Education

College degree in marketing or a related field preferred.

ADA Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in an emergency. Must operate standard office equipment, including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must routinely work on a computer for an average of 6‑8 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.

Local travel required.

Requires the ability to work remotely and in the office as necessary.
