The Vice President, Global Marketing & Communications is responsible for helping to define and execute Swisslog Healthcare’s (SLHC) corporate brand, marketing, and communication strategy for both the Transport Automation and Pharmacy Automation groups, globally. This individual – both a strategist and a team leader – will set the tone for how the SLHC brand is conveyed across physical and digital mediums, including but not limited to the visual identity, web properties, and collateral. As a key member of SLHC’s leadership team, this individual will manage a team of marketing professionals that are both creative, productive and focused on business results. This role leads the planning and execution of strategic and tactical marketing programs to drive brand and product awareness, customer acquisition and retention. This team serves a critical function empowering our organization, delivering results for Sales and Sales Leadership, while supporting other areas of the organization. This person should have experience executing brand consistency across all marketing touch points and experience directing teams to successfully use tools like email, marketing automation and content management systems to scale programs.
Responsibilities
Provide clear leadership across Marketing & Communications, driving effective collaboration with Sales, Service and Product Groups
Translate business priorities into coherent branding and go-to-market strategies across products, verticals and regions, in close alignment with key stakeholders
Define and implement positioning and messaging across all communications, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines and budgets
Deliver high-quality marketing outputs across digital, content, advertising and communications
Lead and develop the Marketing & Communications function, building capability and ensuring strong delivery across the team
Partner with Sales & Service to drive commercially focused campaigns across digital, brand, PR, product, content, and events
Drive global marketing alignment and execution, ensuring consistent market presence while enabling effective local activation
Lead the creation of targeted, relevant customer journey engagement strategies driving brand and product awareness, acquisition, conversion, retention and advocacy
Advocate for marketing best practices, innovation and success metrics and test strategies across the organization
Other duties as assigned
Application Requirements
12 plus years’ experience with a strong understanding of digital marketing, communications, product marketing, marketing automation, content marketing, and demand generation
Proven experience in leading and developing high performing, global marketing teams
Experience across B2B and B2C environments
Able to plan and execute effectively while remaining adaptable to changing priorities
Strong collaborator, able to work effectively across functions and stakeholders
Ability to see the big picture, but focus on execution and results
Proven success working globally with stakeholders in multiple departments
Results-oriented, high-energy self-starter and able to operate independently
Excellent organizational skills, project management skills and ability to manage multiple, complex, and co-dependent projects
Able to create and follow plans, yet flexible enough to respond to change while balancing multiple priorities
Excellent communicator and effective presentation skills
Desirable but not Essential:
Understanding of healthcare market and hospital operations
Master’s degree in marketing or related field
Target salary range for this position is $150,000 - $190,000 base, plus bonus, plus car allowance. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skillset. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical / dental / vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, disability, 401k matching (up to 8%).
