
Director of Sales, Financial Services

Responsibilities
Gather market intelligence and contribute to the development of new products and solutions
Prospect new business through systematic outreach, including calling and emailing prospective clients
Manage a pipeline of new business opportunities from initial engagement through close
Provide internal reporting and updates to management as required
Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs
Qualifications
Minimum of 10+ years of experience selling data‑driven research, products, or services to the consumer and retail banking community
Established relationships with senior stakeholders at leading retail banks and brokerages
Demonstrated ability to grow accounts over time from both a revenue and end‑user adoption perspective
Strong understanding of strategic analytics and insights solutions, including experience selling or partnering against capabilities aligned to Consumer Behavior Data, Brand & Media, and Analytics & Activation
Deep understanding of the competitive landscape within the consumer analytics space
Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Finance, Economics, or Marketing
Ability to clearly translate NIQ’s product offerings into solutions aligned to client business needs
Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to manage the sales process through targeted outreach, one‑on‑one meetings, and group presentations
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
High level of motivation with the ability to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team. Strong follow‑through is essential
Proven business development experience with the ability to sell into, and represent the firm, at all levels of an organization
Demonstrated ability to maintain consistent sales activity to achieve ambitious revenue goals and objectives
Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus, structure, and accountability
Industry‑Specific Experience
Consumer Banking:
Identify emerging customer behaviors, optimize cross‑sell opportunities, and support deposit growth strategies
Retail Brokerage & Crypto:
Monitor investor sentiment and transaction trends to inform product development and marketing strategies
Insurance:
Analyze purchase patterns to support underwriting optimization and personalized policy offerings
Payment Companies (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Stripe, PayPal):
Enhance merchant insights, support fraud detection efforts, and optimize loyalty programs
Unlock actionable insights from panel and point‑of‑sale data to drive customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value
Bridge the gap between complex data and strategic decision‑making through advanced analytics tailored to financial services clients
Enable competitive benchmarking across consumer banking, brokerage, insurance, and payment ecosystems
Leverage transaction‑level intelligence to inform pricing, promotions, and product positioning strategies

Salary & Compensation Market‑competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $117,250.00 - $150,000.00. Base salary varies by experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role is eligible for a sales‑based incentive or performance‑based bonus.
