Strong peer-to-peer support, study groups, mentorship, and other engagement opportunities are available.
Compensation and Benefits Compensation is commission-based. In 2024, average income for certain contracts meeting annual minimum sales production requirements was $120,555. Individual performance determines earnings. Benefits for eligible full-time agents include medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and a 401(k) and pension. Responsibilities
Identify new client insurance needs, risk, goals, current coverage, and financial situation by scheduling meetings for new clients to ensure a personalized experience.
Develop a prospective customer base and advertise insurance products through referrals, cold calling, networking, and other marketing strategies to secure new business.
Process current policyholders’ insurance claims and monitor the status of existing claims.
Manage electronic and paper records; keep contracting paperwork current.
Onboard new clients and retain existing clients through customer service tasks such as appointment scheduling and inquiries regarding billing, coverage, eligibility, and policies.
Build and nurture long-term client relationships with tailored insurance solutions.
Educate clients on the benefits and features of various insurance products to enable informed decisions.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve personal and team targets and drive business growth.
Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes to provide current advice.
Collaborate with team members and participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Utilize digital tools and resources to streamline client interactions and improve service delivery efficiency.
Qualifications
Customer service experience or sales experience is valued; strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite; experience in health or life insurance a plus.
Proven ability to identify client needs and tailor insurance solutions to financial goals.
Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
Ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans and conduct comprehensive needs assessments for cross-selling opportunities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient with digital tools to enhance client interactions.
