Our client, a New York City–based, multibillion-dollar real estate investment manager, is seeking a
Business Analyst
to join its Real Estate Fund Finance team.
This role is ideal for a candidate with strong analytical capabilities who can operate at the intersection of business, finance, and technology. The right individual will be able to translate business needs into clear requirements and drive projects from concept through delivery.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage projects related to investor reporting and other applications supporting Fund Finance initiatives
Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements; define project scope; and translate business needs into actionable deliverables
Produce high‑quality documentation, including functional requirements, user stories, UI concepts, project plans, status updates, test scripts, and training materials
Coordinate cross‑functional teams, including developers and testers, across all phases of the system development lifecycle
Plan and execute system testing for new or enhanced solutions to ensure requirements are met
Provide ongoing support to business users, including assistance with monthly and quarterly client reporting
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in business analysis, project management, or a related role
Experience developing or supporting accounting‑related or investor reporting systems
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Visio); advanced Excel skills required
Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
Demonstrated project management experience
Solid understanding of change management processes within a software development environment
