A highly respected and established General Contractor in Charlotte, NC is currently in search of a
Experienced Preconstruction Manager
to lead their preconstruction team and process. This is a strategic, high-impact leadership role focused on driving the estimating process for new ground-up commercial, educational and industrial construction projects. As the Preconstruction Leader, you’ll collaborate closely with senior leadership and project management to ensure bids are accurate, aligned with company goals, and built for success. With strong internal support and resources, this position plays a critical role in the continued growth and strength of the organization. If you're a seasoned Preconstruction leader with a passion for mentoring teams and refining processes, this could be your next big move. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the preconstruction team through all phases of the estimating process for ground-up projects. Partner with senior leaders and PMs to develop precise, competitive bids. Build and nurture relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Oversee both competitive and negotiated proposals across multiple projects. Coach, mentor, and grow a high-performing estimating team. What We’re Looking For
8+ years of preconstruction/estimating experience with a General Contractor Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field (preferred). Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to lead client + pre-bid meetings What’s in It for You
