Job Details We are in need of a Superintendent for our construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to lead and oversee large-scale commercial construction projects exceeding $20M. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in complex project management, a strong understanding of the commercial construction industry, and a passion for delivering high-quality results. This role will require a dynamic individual who is ready to take on challenges, drive project success, and contribute to our company's reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
Oversee all stages of the project life cycle including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
Lead project teams and coordinate with various stakeholders including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Maintain strict adherence to budgetary guidelines, quality, and safety standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
Direct and supervise workers, subcontractors, and work activities.
Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
Implement effective communication plans and ensure their execution throughout the project lifecycle.
Resolve work problems, disputes, or conflicts to ensure smooth project operation.
Ensure project compliance with all building and safety codes, and other regulations.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a superintendent role focusing on commercial, multifamily, education, or similar projects.
Proven experience managing projects exceeding $10M in size.
Broad understanding of the construction industry, including knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction or repair of buildings or other structures.
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead teams and coordinate with various stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve project-related issues efficiently.
Proficiency in project management software and other relevant computer applications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the construction industry.
