JOB SCOPE
Daily work on marine barges, boats and other shipyard equipment onboard vessels and in outdoor environments.
Installation of electrical systems, equipment, components and cables onboard marine boats and barges.
Layout and installation of electrical cableways, races, conduit for cables.
Layout, pulling, installing and securing electrical cables and wiring throughout the project site.
Installation, hookup and termination of electrical cables in panelboards, motor control centers, switchboards, junction boxes, cable glands, circuit breakers, switches, relays and other electrical components and devices.
Use electrical meters, tools and equipment to install, test, commission and troubleshoot electrical circuits, components and systems through the project scope.
Select, gather and bring to worksite installation materials, tooling and equipment necessary for daily work tasks.
Use electrical meters, hand tools, power tools and material handling devices.
Carry materials, tools and equipment from shoreside warehouse storage to jobsite onboard floating vessels/barges via gangways and ladders.
Accomplish all assigned daily tasks in a safe and effective manner using good work practices either as an unsupervised individual or working as part of a team.
REQUIREMENTS
Electricians must have at least 5+ years of prior experience as a Marine Electrician or work in a Shipyard Environment.
Must submit a resume detailing work experience and job history
Must pass medical examination and drug screening.
Must have reliable transportation and report to work on time each day.
Must have PPE – Hardhat, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses, Gloves, etc.…
Must have your own basic hand tools necessary to carry out assigned duties as an electrician, installer or apprentice.
SHIFT
Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 0600 to 1630 daily.
