As a Field Service Representative for Rolls‑Royce, you’ll support the F‑405 aircraft system and provide technical guidance to the customer by establishing and maintaining a close liaison with relevant sections of the customer's organization, Rolls‑Royce Customer Support, Engineering and Program Management.
Responsibilities
Support F405 CLS Mission Care - United States Navy Program.
Accountable to the F405 CLS Site Manager and lead in executing Program and Deployed Services responsibilities.
Backfill others in the event of absences, temporary duty away from home station, etc.
Comply with relocation requirements as determined by the business and/or the customer to ensure company business objectives and contract deliverables are met and customer operational requirements are supported.
Provide technical support and advice on all aspects of engine operation, aircrew debriefs, flight line troubleshooting, shop maintenance procedures, acceptance criteria, test procedures and future modification requirements.
Provide engine‑based on‑the‑job training for the T‑45 CLS contractor mechanic.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree with 4+ years of Aviation/Propulsion Maintenance experience.
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of Aviation/Propulsion Maintenance experience.
Master’s degree with 0 years of Aviation Maintenance/Propulsion experience.
Ph.D. degree with 0 years of Aviation Maintenance/Propulsion experience.
6+ years of Aviation Maintenance/Propulsion experience in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining, operating, testing or equivalent aircraft gas turbine engine experience.
Eligible for and able to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).
Preferred
Familiarity with applicable regulations of relevant airworthiness authorities.
Prior F405 / T‑45 maintenance experience.
Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
Familiarity with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790 requirements.
Experience with RR Engine Tracking System Database and NALCOMIS.
Computer competency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong technical and theoretical knowledge and aptitude of jet engine design, construction, and systems operation.
