Senior Technical Designer

The ideal candidate for this role is a highly creative problem solver who brings engagement and curiosity to work across multiple platforms and a variety of product types. This person will be focused on elevating the consumer experience by delivering the perfect fit across all product categories and fabrications with the collection.
This role requires a high level of technical expertise related to bottoms and denim. This person is passionate about fit and is a dedicated team player that knows how to collaborate, receive feedback, and manage multiple projects at any given time.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in product design or related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training with a focus on technical design and pattern making
7+ years or more of technical design and patternmaking experience at an in-house setting with deep expertise in woven bottoms and denim
Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple, competing priorities
Strong visual and verbal communication skills, able to effectively present fit intent to internal audiences
Ability to execute technical sketches in 2D using Adobe Illustrator
Knowledge and some experience with 3D and AI applications (CLO, basic AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity) a must, a plus if candidate has knowledge of AI tools for fashion design (The New Black)
Proficient in Illustrator and Google Suite
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally if required
Passion for the fashion industry and understanding of the landscape
Strategic, curious, driven
Ability to understand and translate high fashion, on-trend fits and silhouettes from a technical perspective
Responsibilities
Work closely with founder and the senior designer to develop measurement specifications and fits for all product categories in accordance with the brand aesthetic
Work closely with the production manager and planner to ensure the fit of every product meets the needs of the business
Work closely with vendors and the production team to ensure patterns, measurement specs, and final fit of each style is executed to the standards of the brand
Ability to understand, analyze, and correct patterns from vendors
Communicate fit comments with vendors
Strictly adhere to calendar deadlines
