What You Will Do

Responsible for developing, delivering, and supporting technical solutions related to transmission & distribution power grids, especially focused on the changing industry dynamics as part of a clean energy future.

Perform power system analyses including transmission planning feasibility studies, system impact studies, and generator interconnection studies.

Conduct steady‑state, dynamic stability, voltage stability, and short‑circuit simulations; recommend mitigation strategies.

Develop and fine‑tune dynamic models for conventional and inverter‑based resources (IBRs) and implement them for transient & EMT simulation‑based analyses.

Organize tasks and schedules to deliver high‑quality, client‑ready work and deliverables.

Act as technical solution delivery consultant on projects related to electrical transmission and distribution system planning studies to determine transmission requirements.

What You Will Need

Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering from a recognized university.

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Power Systems Engineering (excluding internships, co‑ops, or fellowships).

Familiarity with, or ability to quickly master, IEEE, IEC, NERC, and local grid regulatory requirements and processes for various transmission systems worldwide.

Knowledge of transmission planning concepts, practices, and procedures; ability to apply transmission‑planning reliability criteria to perform analyses.

In‑depth understanding of transmission and distribution systems from a planning and operations standpoint.

Technical familiarity with power systems engineering tools such as PSLF, PSSE, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, EMTP, ASPEN One‑Liner, TARA, CAPE, DSATools, or PowerWorld Simulator.

Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills.

Outstanding analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Nice to Have

Consulting experience within the utilities industry.

Knowledge of resource interconnection and expansion planning practices and protocols.

Working knowledge of ISO/RTO operations and functions.

Flexibility to work mid‑shift timings (UK shift).
