PET CT Imaging Specialist

Your technical expertise will be showcased as you interpret physician orders and select suitable imaging parameters to deliver high-quality PET/CT images. Your work will empower physicians to make accurate diagnoses and informed treatment decisions.
As part of our dynamic team, you may work in various settings including outpatient centers, mobile coaches, and hospital inpatient facilities, demonstrating flexibility to provide exceptional imaging care wherever needed.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure patient safety through pre-screening for contraindications and adhere to radiation safety regulations during procedures.
Produce high-quality diagnostic images for accurate assessments.
Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists to facilitate a seamless imaging experience.
Assist in training new technologists and provide support for their professional development.
Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment issues to maintain operational efficiency.
Position Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate's Degree preferred.
Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N) is required.
State license, as required.
Current CPR certification required.
Valid state driver's license as applicable.
1-2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures preferred.
Ability to work flexibly at multiple locations.
Strong customer service and organizational skills are essential.
Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
Local travel may be required.
The COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
All candidates must complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements This position may expose you to outside weather conditions during patient transport, as well as radioactive isotopes and ionizing radiation. You'll need to perform physical tasks, such as moving patients and operating equipment.
Daily Activities Include
Sitting, standing, and walking more than 50% of the time.
Repetitive hand and arm movements.
Clear communication with patients, requiring the ability to see, speak, and hear.
Occasional Activities Include
Stooping, kneeling, or crawling.
Climbing and balancing.
Carrying and lifting non-ambulatory patients safely.
The compensation for this position ranges from $55.34 to $71.95 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
