About the Role Trade is seeking a thoughtful, systems-driven Brand Designer to help shape and evolve our visual identity across key touchpoints of our customer journey.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you’ll play a key role in defining how Trade shows up in the world—from performance creative and lifecycle campaigns to product launches, editorial storytelling, and brand systems. You’ll balance craft and speed, building scalable design frameworks that elevate the brand while supporting growth. This role is ideal for a designer who cares deeply about typography, layout, storytelling, and consistency—and who wants to build a brand that people genuinely love.

What We're Looking For

Design high-impact campaign creative across paid media, email, direct mail, landing pages, organic social, and more

Evolve and maintain Trade’s visual identity, ensuring consistency across all digital and physical touchpoints

Work closely with our Senior Product Designer to develop scalable brand systems, templates, and component libraries

Partner closely with Growth to concept and produce performance-driven creative that is both on-brand and conversion-oriented

Collaborate with editorial and content teams to visually bring roaster stories and coffee discovery to life

Develop creative for brand campaigns, seasonal moments, product launches, and cultural initiatives

Ensure design consistency across typography, color systems, imagery, and motion

Present work clearly and confidently to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership

Stay current on design trends, cultural movements, and competitive creative to keep Trade fresh and differentiated

Provide guidance to external contractors to ensure video assets and partner creatives stay true to the Trade brand

Who You Are

A strong visual storyteller with exceptional taste and attention to detail

Systems-minded—you think beyond one-off assets and design for scale

Comfortable moving between brand-building moments and fast-paced performance needs

Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects without sacrificing craft

Collaborative and open to feedback, with a low-ego, team-first mindset

Naturally curious, always refining and raising the bar for creative excellence

Required Experience

4+ years of experience in brand design, preferably for consumer-facing or DTC brands

A strong portfolio showcasing digital campaigns, brand systems, and performance creative

Experience designing for paid media, email, landing pages, and web

Deep understanding of typography, layout, color systems, and visual hierarchy

Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite

Experience building and maintaining design systems and reusable components

Strong understanding of how design impacts growth, conversion, and customer experience

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally

Experience in startup or high-growth environments

Familiarity with subscription businesses or marketplace brands is a plus

NYC Base Salary $95,000- $135,000
