VP, Regional Executive- Southwest
PURE Insurance, Scottsdale, AZ, United States
About the Role
The Southwest Regional Executive (RE) is a senior market leader and a key member of PURE’s leadership team, responsible for driving growth, market presence, and member experience across the Southwest Region (Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah).
Reporting to the Western Zone Executive, the RE leads PURE’s Sales & Distribution strategy in the region, with accountability for delivering sustained, profitable growth while strengthening PURE’s position as the carrier of choice for high net worth (HNW) individuals and the brokers who serve them.
This role extends beyond sales leadership. The RE operates as PURE’s executive presence in the market—shaping regional strategy, influencing enterprise priorities, and aligning cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for members and partners. Success requires balancing disciplined execution with strategic insight and pairing strong external orientation with the ability to mobilize internal resources effectively.
The RE leads a team of Territory Management professionals and works in close partnership with Underwriting, Risk Management, Claims, and other functional leaders to drive coordinated, high‑impact outcomes. The role also serves as a primary ambassador for PURE in the region, representing the organization with brokers, centers of influence, industry stakeholders, and within the community.
What You’ll Do
Deliver sustainable, profitable growth across the region, with primary accountability for membership growth, total written premium (admitted and non‑admitted), and new business production—while maintaining PURE’s high standards for member quality.
Shape and execute regional strategy in partnership with senior leadership and practice leaders, including market share objectives, profitability targets, and priorities across distribution, product, and infrastructure.
Lead and evolve PURE’s broker strategy in the region—deepening relationships with top partners, expanding share of wallet, and identifying new opportunities for growth.
Build and lead a high‑performing team, including Territory Management professionals and, in partnership with functional leaders, influencing the development of underwriting and service talent in the region.
Mobilize cross‑functional leadership to address key business priorities, ensuring alignment and execution across underwriting, risk management, claims, and service.
Expand and activate centers of influence (e.g., wealth managers, family offices, trust and estate attorneys, real estate professionals) to drive high‑quality referrals and elevate PURE’s brand.
Engage directly with members and partners to strengthen relationships, resolve complex situations, and unlock new opportunities.
Serve as PURE’s executive voice in the market, representing the company at key industry events, with regulators, and within relevant business and community organizations.
Foster a strong regional culture, contributing to an environment where collaboration, accountability, and excellence thrive—particularly within the Scottsdale office.
What We’re Looking For
10+ years of experience in personal lines property & casualty insurance, with meaningful leadership responsibility.
Experience serving the high net worth market strongly preferred.
Demonstrated track record of driving growth through distribution and relationship‑based sales models or other evidence of strong producer management acumen.
Proven ability to lead, influence, and align teams across multiple functions and geographies.
Strong strategic orientation, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with executive presence and credibility in external settings.
Ability to build trust quickly with brokers, partners, colleagues, and senior leaders.
Analytical, disciplined, and detail‑oriented, with sound judgment and problem‑solving capabilities.
Agile learner with the ability to navigate complexity and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Willingness to travel as needed to maintain strong market visibility.
Base Salary The base salary for this role can range from $170,000 to $190,000 based on a full‑time work schedule.
