Executive Recruiter

Aston Carter, Nashville, TN, United States

Recruiter III – Executive Sourcer Job Description This role leads full life-cycle recruiting for executive operations leaders in delivery stations and warehouses, focusing on hard‑to‑fill, passive executive‑level talent. You will own the entire process from sourcing and outreach through interviews, offer negotiation, and onboarding, while partnering closely with business leaders to meet ambitious hiring goals. The position requires a seasoned recruiter who combines strong executive sourcing skills, a consultative approach, and a sales‑driven mindset to attract and close high‑caliber external candidates.

Responsibilities

Lead full life-cycle recruiting for operations roles in delivery stations and warehouses, from initial sourcing through offer acceptance and onboarding.

Develop and execute creative executive sourcing strategies to identify and engage passive candidates for L7 roles that operate at an L8‑level scope.

Proactively build and manage pipelines of Director‑level and similar leaders, ensuring strong alignment with role requirements and business needs.

Conduct thorough recruiter phone screens to assess experience, leadership capabilities, and fit for high‑impact operations roles.

Partner closely with hiring leaders to understand role scope, site size, and title variations (such as Operations Manager or Site Manager) and translate these into targeted recruiting strategies.

Manage and coordinate all stages of the interview process, including scheduling and preparing candidates and interviewers for recruiter and business phone screens.

Drive a compelling and transparent candidate experience by clearly communicating role expectations, scope, and growth potential, including operating at the next level within 12–15 months.

Own offer strategy and negotiations, balancing candidate expectations with internal compensation guidelines and location constraints.

Maintain an 80–90% offer acceptance rate by effectively selling the role, location, and long‑term career trajectory to candidates.

Use sound judgment and extensive recruiting experience to plan and accomplish hiring goals with minimal supervision.

Track and manage candidate activity through applicant tracking systems (ATS), ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow‑up.

Meet and exceed key performance indicators, including weekly outreach targets, recruiter phone screens, business phone screens, and monthly offer goals.

Deliver approximately two high‑quality offers per month once fully ramped (around 45 days), with a strong emphasis on quality of hire over volume alone.

Demonstrate influence and persuasion skills when engaging high‑level candidates who may not be actively seeking new opportunities.

Collaborate with peers and stakeholders, and when needed, lead and direct the work of others involved in the recruiting process.

Conduct reference checks and support BG verification processes as needed to ensure high hiring standards.

Perform and support new hire orientation activities and process changes in employee status in coordination with HR partners.

Conduct exit interviews when appropriate and ensure feedback is captured and communicated to relevant stakeholders.

Apply a wide range of recruiting concepts, practices, and procedures, and adapt your approach creatively to meet evolving hiring demands.

Serve as a scrappy, resourceful go‑to partner for the business, proactively solving sourcing challenges and adjusting strategies as market conditions change.

Essential Skills

Extensive experience in talent acquisition and recruiting, including full life‑cycle recruiting for executive‑level roles.

Strong proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and related recruiting technologies.

Ability to manage offer strategy and negotiations while maintaining an 80–90% offer acceptance rate.

Strong sales mentality and closing skills, particularly in situations where location is non‑negotiable and compensation bands are tight.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with high‑level candidates and stakeholders.

High level of judgment, autonomy, and ownership in planning and accomplishing recruiting goals.

Comfort working with a variety of recruiting concepts, practices, and procedures, and applying them flexibly to different hiring scenarios.

Background in recruiting for exec‑level leadership roles is highly beneficial.

Proven track record as a scrappy, resourceful recruiter who is viewed as a go‑to person for difficult searches.

Experience leading or directing the work of others involved in recruiting processes.

Familiarity with performance metrics such as outreach volume, phone screens, and monthly offer targets, and experience meeting or exceeding these KPIs.
