About The Job The Sr. Specialist in Accounting supports and collaborates with multiple cross‑functional teams: Shared Services (Tax Compliance, AP, AR, Lease and Project Costing), Corporate Tax, Brand Legal, Development, Payroll Tax, Brand Reporting and Finance, and works closely with 3rd‑party co‑sourcing vendors, state and local taxing jurisdictions, and business licensing offices. Providing outstanding customer service, interacting directly with all levels of the organization, suppliers, and service providers.

Salary Range Hourly pay is $25.43 – $26.44 + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Pay may vary based on location, experience, and other job‑related factors.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and prepare data upload from General Ledger sources to 3rd‑party co‑sourcing partner; review variances; research and clear outstanding items for sales tax compliance within time constraints.

Post General Ledger/payment data to Excel spreadsheets for tracking license renewal.

Prepare journal entries for General Ledger accounts.

Demonstrate account reconciliation knowledge and understanding.

Work with internal and external partners and jurisdictions to acquire business licenses; resolve licensing issues.

Prepare AP payment requests.

Process mail and documentation requests, outstanding sales tax and business license notices.

Apply for sales tax registrations for new locations.

Maintain correct sales tax rates in collaboration with internal and field staff.

Prepare open/close store reports on period.

Execute additional projects and documentation requests from internal and external partners.

Minimum Requirements

Associate’s degree and 2 + years of relevant experience or 5 + years of relevant experience.

Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel skills.

Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment while handling conflicting priorities.

Self‑motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and drive change.

Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, effective at all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance.

Strong systems and software aptitude (JD Edwards, Reports Now, and Oracle).

Excellent organizational, time‑management, and customer‑service skills.
