Telemundo 33 KCSO Sacramento is seeking a

Local News Producer

to join our newsroom. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong editorial judgment, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to produce accurate, engaging, and impactful live newscasts for our Northern California audience.

Essential Responsibilities

Select, research, and write content for live newscasts, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and strong storytelling.

Collaborate with reporters to develop, structure, and refine news stories.

Coordinate editorial and creative vision with anchors, reporters, meteorologists, photographers, editors, and production staff.

Oversee assigned newscasts, including breaking news and significant weather events.

Live‑time newscasts and make real‑time editorial adjustments as needed.

Ensure content reflects Telemundo 33’s commitment to serving the Sacramento and Northern California communities.

Qualifications

Fluency in Spanish and English , with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

Minimum of

two (2) years of news producing experience .

Prior newsroom experience required.

Strong writing, copy‑editing, and editorial decision‑making skills.

Ability to manage multiple crews, responsibilities, and deadlines simultaneously.

Experience summarizing complex or developing information into clear, audience‑friendly storytelling.

Creative presentation skills with the ability to maximize video, graphics, and live elements.

Demonstrated commitment to the highest journalistic standards, ethics, and accuracy.

Bilingual Spanish/English newsroom experience preferred.

Ability and willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and during breaking news situations.

Schedule flexibility is required to meet operational and breaking‑news needs.

Additional Requirements

Required On‑Site : This position is required to be performed full‑time from an NBCUniversal‑designated worksite.

This position is eligible for company‑sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $70,304–$100,000 annually.
