Job Overview
Producer, Talk Radio will be responsible for all aspects involved in producing a live daily show, including guest booking, research, promotion/social media, studio/technical operations, and content production. A strong sense of news awareness is important for this position.
Responsibilities
Book interviews, conduct pre‑interviews with guests, and prepare pre‑materials for the host.
Manage the studio and technical operations of the show.
Manage promotion and production of the show.
Follow the format and provide hosts with feedback.
Assist the Program Director (PD) of the channel in promoting the show and channel.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or two years of equivalent experience.
Preferred previous production experience within radio and/or a live studio environment.
Good public speaking and presentation skills.
Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Professionalism over the phone and in person.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Commitment to “internal client” and customer‑service principles.
Willingness to take initiative and follow through on projects.
Creative writing ability.
Excellent time‑management skills, ability to prioritize and multi‑task, and work under shifting deadlines.
Legal right to work in the United States.
Salary: $57,600 to $75,150 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
