Salary: $45 - $55 per hour
Job Summary The Real Estate & Right-of-Way (ROW) Agent manages land and real estate activities, including negotiating and administering agreements related to acquisitions, leases, and property rights. This role involves drafting and reviewing contracts, maintaining records, and supporting the Real Estate Management System. The position also oversees billing and payments to ensure accurate financial tracking and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and manage real estate contractual obligations.
Negotiate agreements, resolve disputes, and ensure contracts remain valid and enforceable.
Review property documents for accuracy and completeness.
Process lease and rental payments, set rates, and manage invoicing and recurring payments.
Ensure proper accounting treatment for all transactions.
Support and enhance the Real Estate Management System, including troubleshooting and system improvements.
Coordinate with third parties on acquisitions, leases, easements, and property-related matters.
Improve processes for managing and storing real estate records.
Record deeds, titles, and easements as needed.
Collaborate with risk management to ensure proper insurance coverage.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree.
Professional certification in Right-of-Way, Land Management, or a related land services discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a minimum of 7 years of directly related Right-of-Way or land experience.
Fluency with legal aspects of Real Estate terms and documents.
Strong oral, written and communication skills.
Ability to independently draft and negotiate contracts, including effective use of defined terms and redlining in coordination with internal and external legal counsel.
Familiarity with SAP and LandWorks.
High level of experience with negotiating right of ways and easements.
Solid understanding of eminent domain/condemnation procedures, including pre-trial prep and court hearings.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
