Volunteer Community Fundraiser

Seed Community Relief, New Bremen, OH, United States

Overview Seed Community Relief (SCORE) is a formally registered survivor-led, indigenous Non-Governmental Organization incorporated in Uganda in 2021. Founded by Kiima Stephen, a Human Rights Defender and survivor of child labor because he believed that the people closest to exploitation are best placed to lead the fight against it. We work to eliminate modern slavery in its many forms (Child, Early and Forced Marriage (CEFM); forced labor; child labor;human trafficking; sexual slavery; domestic servitude; economic exploitation and unethical recruitment practices) by uprooting the systemic and cultural conditions that allow exploitation to persist. Our work spans Community Outreach, Capacity Enhancement, Research & Advocacy.

We are looking for one committed person — someone based in a developed country, with a wide network, who is willing to use their relationships, their voice and their time to help us fundraise and keep this advocacy alive.

Our current projects include

1-Sugar Daddy Awareness:

To reduce child sexual abuse by equipping adolescent girls with the knowledge to recognize and avoid cross-generational sexual exploitation.

2-Community Literacy Outreach:

Aims to improve foundational literacy among children aged 5–17, building a community-based learning ecosystem that protects children from exploitation by strengthening their education, raising caregiver capacity to support their children.

3-Edu Support Exchange:

Provides scholastic materials, mentorship and matches compassionate regular or one time sponsors to disadvantaged school going children as a way of bridging the education gap.
