Sales & Design Consultant
Flooring America is looking to hire results‑driven Sales & Design Consultants for their award‑winning Oklahoma City showroom. This position requires a passion for interacting with people, strong decision‑making abilities, a commitment to high performance and collaboration, and a dedication to the values of reliability, integrity, knowledge, and quality craftsmanship.
Duties
Provide outstanding customer service
Build strong client relationships and follow up with all new and existing clients
Schedule appointments for client design consultations within the showroom, at their homes or workplaces
Stay up‑to‑date on the wide selection of floors and their benefits and warranties
Gather space measurements, calculate required materials, create and present project proposals, and collect payments
Utilize social media platforms to build a network
Manage time between the showroom and prospecting for new business
Sell flooring and floor‑care products
Answer customer questions
Provide decorative and design advice to customers
Complete extensive product and sales training to become a certified flooring and design expert
Maintain a clean and organized showroom, keeping samples, displays, and common areas neat and current
Qualifications for the Sales & Design Consultant
Minimum of 1 to 3 years of proven work experience in retail sales, flooring sales, interior design, furniture sales, or a similar role
College degree a plus, but not required
Basic computer, social media, and math skills
Proper phone etiquette and a positive attitude
Strong desire to exceed expectations
Ability to use various forms of communication to follow up with vendors and clients
Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
Strong personal and professional judgment
Ability to respond quickly to clients' needs and wants
Self‑starter
Desire to grow a business
Excellent time‑management skills and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and flexibility to switch between priorities
Microsoft Office or Google Workspace a plus
Flexible work hours, including Saturdays
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Base salary: $40,000 annually
Earning potential of $80,000 or greater annually with commissions, growth, and advancement opportunities
Full‑time: 40 hours per week with a 5‑day work week (Monday–Saturday)
