Assistant Wellness Director Responsibilities
Maintains and implements nursing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of nursing practice, company, and facility philosophy of care while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws.
Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff, monitoring practices for effective implementation and achievement of results.
Conducts resident assessments, suggesting appropriate level of service packages to residents and their families, as directed.
Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care evidenced by adequate services and staff coverage, appropriate staffing, absence of odors and pressure wounds, and maintenance of optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial function.
Demonstrates knowledge of and application of Key Clinical Quality Indicators.
Reviews 24‑hour reports from every unit daily to ensure timely, effective responses to significant changes in condition, transfers, discharges, use of restraints, unexplained injuries, potential abuse or neglect, medication errors, loss of resident property, or any evidence of resident or family dissatisfaction.
Lists and documents significant changes in condition of residents, including incidents, unexplained injuries, medication errors, loss of property, or evidence of resident or family dissatisfaction per agency policies and state regulations.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Two-year professional nursing experience in a senior living care setting.
Two years supervisory/management experience with direct care staff.
Some states may allow this to be an unlicensed position (WI, TX, SC).
