As a Regional Sales Account Manager, you will play a critical role in expanding Sharps Medical Waste Services’ footprint across the MidAtlantic region (Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, DC, and the city of Philadelphia). This position is responsible for driving new business development within hospitals and healthcare organizations while also managing and growing existing accounts. This is a field-based, individual contributor role that requires strong consultative selling skills, the ability to cold call effectively, and a deep understanding of complex healthcare sales environments.

Responsibilities
Drive the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, including qualification, proposal development, pricing, negotiation, and contract execution
Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities through territory planning, cold calling, and in-person meetings
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers including EH&S managers, compliance officers, and procurement leaders
Manage and grow existing accounts by identifying expansion opportunities and delivering high-quality service
Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Customer Service, and EHS teams to ensure seamless onboarding and customer satisfaction
Maintain accurate CRM records, track sales activities, and manage pipeline performance with a high level of accountability
Leverage market insights, industry trends, and competitive intelligence to strengthen sales strategy and positioning
Ensure all sales activities align with company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations
Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
3–5 years of successful B2B field sales experience, preferably within healthcare, environmental services, or a regulated industry
Proven track record of managing complex sales cycles and consistently exceeding sales targets
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Self-motivated with excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Excel
Ability to quickly learn and apply industry-specific knowledge, including hazardous waste and compliance regulations
Ability to travel within the assigned region (approximately 25%)
