Summary

Morgan’s Hotel, a new hospitality concept inspired by the world‑renowned Morgan’s Wonderland, is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Sales. Morgan’s Hotel is an ultra-accommodating hotel designed to welcome guests of all ages and abilities. As part of ALH’s portfolio, this property will set new standards for inclusion, accessibility, and guest-centered service in the hospitality industry.

The Director of Sales is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives that drive market visibility, maximize occupancy, and foster long-term client relationships. This role emphasizes continuous networking, community engagement, and the cultivation of partnerships with community leaders and respected industry associations. As a senior leader, the Director of Sales collaborates closely with revenue management, marketing, and operations to ensure all sales strategies align with the hotel’s goals, brand standards, and overall business objectives. The role oversees all sales efforts across leisure, group, corporate, and community segments, with a strong focus on values-based selling, meaningful partnerships, and community-driven growth consistent with the organization’s mission and purpose.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to achieve revenue targets and grow market share. Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to ensure high performance and professional development. Identify and pursue new business opportunities across group, corporate, and leisure segments. Build strategic partnerships with travel agencies, corporate accounts, meeting planners, community leaders, and local organizations. Oversee key account management, contract negotiations, and high-value proposals. Collaborate with revenue management to optimize pricing strategies and forecast demand. Partner with marketing to align promotional efforts with sales initiatives. Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions. Analyze market trends, competitive data, and performance metrics to inform strategy and reporting.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role may be required to oversee and lead a sales team, ranging from 0-10 employees.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in the hospitality industry.

Proven track record of achieving revenue goals and managing high-performing teams.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Strong financial acumen and analytical ability with experience in revenue forecasting and budgeting.

Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business, or related field preferred; advanced degree a plus.
