As Assistant Director of Revenue Strategy, you’ll play a pivotal role in steering the success of a dynamic seven-hotel portfolio in New York City. You’ll collaborate with property leaders, sales, and corporate teams to drive revenue growth and market share, while mentoring two rising revenue professionals. QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
2 - 4+ years of progressive experience in hotel revenue management.
Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data into actionable strategy.
Experience presenting performance and strategy to senior leadership.
Marriott brand experience preferred.
Multi-property or area revenue experience preferred.
Experience with OneYield, Opera PMS, Amadeus Demand360, OTA Insight/Lighthouse preferred.
Experience in high-demand, urban markets (NYC strongly preferred).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Revenue Management & Performance
Develop, implement, and refine revenue strategies across seven properties to maximize RevPAR, RGI, ADR, and profitability.
Analyze market trends and competitive positioning; identify opportunities and risks.
Manage rate and discount strategies, ensuring alignment with asset goals and brand standards.
Support annual revenue budgets and forecasts using market intelligence.
Provide strategic insights for leadership presentations and assist with portfolio performance reviews.
Market Share Analysis & Reporting
Analyze and communicate STR and comp set performance to leadership and stakeholders.
Translate data into actionable strategies, highlighting index movement and demand drivers.
Present recaps and forward strategies in weekly and monthly portfolio calls.
Lead weekly revenue calls to review performance and strategy updates.
Clearly share strategy changes with on-property and corporate teams.
Oversee all booking channels, including brand.com, direct channels, OTAs, and third-party distribution platforms.
Optimize channel mix to balance profitability, acquisition cost, and market share growth.
Ensure content accuracy, promotional alignment, and rate parity across all distribution channels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Sales and Operations to align revenue strategy with group pricing, marketing initiatives, and demand generation efforts.
Provide consultative guidance to General Managers and property leaders on inventory controls, pricing direction, and need periods.
Support group pricing strategy, displacement analysis, and monthly reporting outputs.
Ensure strategic alignment across the portfolio to drive consistency and performance accountability.
Assist in managing and mentoring two revenue team members, supporting workflow optimization and professional development.
Help foster a proactive, data-driven revenue culture across the portfolio.
