Landman II
BKV Corporation, Dallas, TX, United States
BKV Corporation is looking for a sharp, adaptable Landman who can operate in two worlds — surface and subsurface — and thrive in one of the most unique basins in the country.
The Barnett isn't what it used to be. We're not leasing farmland from families who've been waiting for us. We're navigating urban development, protecting existing operations from encroachment, and building relationships with stakeholders who didn't ask to be our neighbors. It takes confidence, creativity, and thick skin.
What you'll be doing:
Clearing title and negotiating leases (subsurface)
Negotiating surface use agreements, ROW, and DNC documentation (surface)
Managing landowner relationships — including contentious ones — with professionalism and composure
Working across internal teams and external stakeholders in a fast-moving, high-volume environment
Protecting BKV's operational footprint as urban development expands around us
What we're looking for:
3–7 years of Landman experience, with at least some surface exposure
High EQ, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver uncomfortable messages with confidence
Someone who runs toward complexity, not away from it
BKV moves fast. If you need a task list to feel productive, this probably isn't the right fit. If you thrive in ambiguity and love solving problems no one's solved before, keep reading.
