As a Civil Estimator for HV Substation and Grid Connection, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for civil engineering works involved in high-voltage electrical projects. Your role will be crucial in supporting the planning and execution of HV substation construction and grid connection projects.
Estimate Preparation: Develop comprehensive cost estimates for civil works related to HV substations and grid connections, including material, labor, equipment, and services.
Project Analysis: Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the overall scope of work and identify potential challenges.
Vendor and Contractor Coordination: Liaise with vendors, contractors, and engineers to gather detailed pricing information and negotiate costs.
Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential risks and uncertainties in projects and propose mitigation strategies.
Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets and cost forecasts.
Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on estimated project costs and timelines.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Civil Estimator, preferably in the HV substation and grid connection sector. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction processes. Familiarity with HV substation design and grid connection standards. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
