Job Summary The Solutions Consultant is an evolving Sales Engineering role that provides technical leadership and guidance throughout a customer’s security transformation journey. The role supports defining technical solutions, ensuring value realization, and positioning Palo Alto Networks as the customer’s cybersecurity partner of choice.

Responsibilities

Meet and exceed sales quotas by building and implementing strategic, technical account plans targeting cross‑platform solutions.

Understand key customer business requirements and position, demonstrate, and create high‑level designs across the entire PANW portfolio to create business value.

Drive adoption of the Palo Alto Networks platform and build customer relationships to increase productivity, operational efficiency, and security efficacy.

Conduct discovery to articulate technical, operational, and commercial imperatives of prospects and customers.

Collaborate closely with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Specialist teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of solutions.

Demonstrate strong communication skills through effective presentations, customer‑specific demos, technical engagements, and workshops that simplify complex ideas for various audiences.

Lead successful technical validation efforts based on best practices to secure technical wins in assigned opportunities.

Drive cross‑functional collaboration, orchestrating supporting resources to ensure a one‑team approach.

Promote end‑to‑end solutions that include PANW and/or partner professional services to accelerate business value realization.

Differentiate PANW’s leadership in the cybersecurity space, understanding the competitive landscape.

Continuously develop technical and professional skills, actively participating in the Solutions Consultant community and industry events.

Identify technical stakeholders and cultivate relationships with key personas to build and drive a security architecture transformation roadmap.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in pre‑sales/sales engineering.

Understanding of data networking, modern application design, and cloud architectures.

Experience delivering cybersecurity solutions that address technical challenges and influence new business initiatives.

Ability to influence and gain buy‑in from key stakeholders in customer‑facing or internal roles.

Creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or technical validation engagements.

Experience selling, designing, implementing, or managing solutions in Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP, and/or SOC Transformation Technologies.

Partnering with Customer Support functions to ensure successful implementation and adoption.

Experience with complex sales, long sales processes, multiple buying centers, and multi‑product solutions.

Proficient in English.

Field‑sales position; travel may be required.

Compensation Disclosure The compensation for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. The base salary range is $208,000–$286,000 per year (for non‑sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales roles). Compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
