Role Overview The Teller / Banker / Member Service Representative plays a vital role in delivering exceptional in‑person service within a high‑volume, schedule‑driven branch environment. This position is centered on teller‑line operations, transaction accuracy, and building trusted relationships during every interaction. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail‑oriented, and thrives in fast‑paced, customer‑facing settings.
Key Responsibilities
Provide prompt, professional service to members during in‑branch interactions
Perform teller‑line transactions including savings, checking, consumer loans, credit cards, and fraud‑related requests
Verify member identity and review account details for alerts, discrepancies, or irregular activity
Identify and respond to patterns indicating potential fraud or abuse
Navigate multiple systems efficiently while demonstrating active listening and engagement
Recommend additional products or services aligned with member needs
Maintain compliance with all policies, procedures, and security standards
Support a positive, organized, and respectful branch experience
Qualifications
Required: Cash‑handling experience in a fast‑paced environment
Customer service experience; banking or financial services experience preferred
Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure
Proficiency with computers and navigating multiple systems/screens
Strong attention to detail and basic math skills
Clear verbal and written communication with strong active listening skills
Sound judgment, professionalism, and adaptability
Reliable attendance and adherence to scheduled hours
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Compensation The pay rate for this position is between $16.95 and $19.12 per hour.
