Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit. Be responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team. Coordinate merchandising and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork. Maintain freshness standards by following receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, displaying, and rotation of items. Lead a team to deliver high-quality products, superior service, and an excellent customer experience. Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Produce team. Unload and sort store deliveries, operate and maintain produce equipment. Ensure execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and verify that team members follow these procedures. Qualifications
Be at least 18 years old with basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures. Dependable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Outgoing, friendly, and able to interact effectively with customers. Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction and work in a team. Perform general housekeeping in the department and sanitize work areas (tables, floors, cases, coolers, freezers, etc.). Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations, including maintaining a Food Handlers permit. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift/move up to 50 lbs.; ability to work extended periods with or without mechanical assistance. Ability to use a pallet jack to move pallets up to 20 feet. Pay range: $18.55 - $27.75 per hour. Pay is based on applicable experience and qualifications. Benefits
