About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented PCB Designer.
This individual works with schematic capture, creates component footprints and models, places components, routes signals, generates Gerber and ODB++ files. This role requires you to work on‑site at our Northridge, CA.
Required Skills
Librarian: Experience with designing components and managing component libraries.
Experience with Altium Designer Schematic Capture or similar (Orcad) and PCB Layout Tools.
Understanding of various PCB materials (FR4) laminates and stack ups.
Solid understanding of PCB power planes and power distribution networks.
Designs multilayer circuit boards with flex circuit assembles for HDI products. Specifies multi‑layer stack‑up and vias in flex and rigid flex multi‑layer PCBs.
Documents designs and creates Fabrication and Assembly drawings and generates document notes.
Maintains design history and parts traceability using internal documentation system.
Collaborates with internal electrical, mechanical and external PCB manufacturing houses with DFM activities to ensure PCBA design is manufacturable.
Supports and presents PCB layout design reviews with cross‑functional team.
IPC CID+ Certification preferred.
Excellent reading and oral communication skills.
Required Knowledge and Experience
Requires minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries).
Nice to Have
Expertise with Altium Designer Tools.
Experience with advanced PCB constructs such as blind, buried, micro and stacked vias.
Experience in creating and routing controlled impedance signals.

Benefits & Compensation MiniMed offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package.
Salary ranges for U.S. (excluding PR) locations: $82,000.00 - $123,000.00.
This position is eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Short Term Incentive (STI).
