
Electrical and Instrumentation Designer

Our client, a major refinery, is looking for an Instrument & Electrical (I&E) Designer (Mid-Level to Senior) in Anacortes, WA to support refinery projects and as-built documentation.
Responsibilities
Perform as-built documentation for instruments and electrical systems using existing drawings, and field measurements/verifications Develop instrument layouts, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics for assigned design tasks Create cable trays, panel arrangements, conduit runs, and connection details Generate Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and equipment lists Conduct field verification, site walkdowns, and instrument tagging as required Coordinate with project engineers and other disciplines as needed Review drawings for accuracy in accordance with assigned tasks Support construction, commissioning, and fabrication activities Qualifications
Mid-level to senior experience (typically 5–15+ years) in instrument and electrical design for oil & gas or refinery projects Proficiency in AutoCAD, SPI (SI), and Microsoft Office programs Experience with field verification, instrument, and electrical design Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and small design projects TWIC card required for refinery access
