Associate Financial Representative
Modern Woodmen of America, Mebane, NC, United States
Some people spend years building someone else's business. Others find a path where the work matters, the people matter, and the income matches the effort.
At Modern Woodmen of America, we've been helping families and communities since 1883 as a member-owned fraternal benefit society, not a stockholder-driven corporation. That means purpose and performance can actually live in the same career.
Through MWA Financial Services, Inc., our brokerage subsidiary, you have access to a broad suite of financial products and planning solutions so you can do what is right for the people sitting across from you.
What you\'ll do
Work directly with individuals, families, and business owners to build financial plans they can trust.
Build long-term relationships.
Collaborate with experienced professionals.
Grow within a structured development program designed to move you from day one into Financial Advisor and beyond.
Who this role is for
You do not need a finance background. Many of our strongest advisors came from careers in sales, real estate, lending, consulting, education, ministry, the military, or business ownership.
What they had in common was not a perfect resume. It was character, coachability, community orientation, and the desire to build something of their own.
If you have ever felt like your work should have more purpose and more upside, this is worth a conversation.
Most people take the safe job. The one with the guaranteed $50,000 or $60,000 salary that feels secure until it doesn\'t. Two or three years later, they are right back where they started, looking for the next safe thing and still building nothing they own.
This is a different path. The first year takes some faith, but what you build belongs to you. A book of business. Residual income. A career asset that cannot be taken from you when a company decides to restructure.
If you are only thinking about year one, you are not thinking big enough.
What you can expect to earn First-year advisors in our program typically earn $50,000 to $80,000 through a combination of our business development program, commissions, and bonuses. There is no cap on earnings. Compensation grows as your practice grows, and top advisors earn well into six figures.
Your career path You will receive direct mentorship from a Managing Partner, Senior Advisors, and a dedicated Business Coach. Structured onboarding and ongoing coaching are built into the program. Advancement opportunities include Senior Advisor, Team Leader, and Managing Partner.

Licensing includes Life Insurance, SIE, Series 6 or 7, and Series 65 or 66.

Do I need financial services experience? No. We provide training, mentorship, and a real development path. You bring the drive and the character. We teach the rest.
Support Will I have support, or am I on my own? You will work alongside a team of professionals with direct access to your Managing Partner, Senior Advisors, and a Business Coach. You are building your own practice, but you are never building it alone.
Is this commission-only from day one? We have a business development program designed to help you build momentum early. This is an entrepreneurial path, and the structure is built to help you grow your practice the right way.
