Job Summary The Associate Insurance Representative processes and monitors unpaid third‑party insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, or government‑assisted program accounts for proper reimbursement, primarily but not limited to prebilled accounts. The role prepares and submits claims to payers either electronically or by paper, secures necessary medical documentation required or requested by payers, and performs account follow‑up on outstanding insurance balances to resolve accounts per established federal and state regulations. Additional responsibilities include setting up accounts correctly, ensuring timely and accurate information, confirming eligibility, verifying information, posting payments, initiating refunds, processing month‑end work, resolving incidents, reporting, initial billings, re‑billings, scanning and indexing documents, and providing assistance as needed. The role also processes and resolves technical denials, can correct errors on claims, and performs miscellaneous job‑related duties as requested.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
