
Contract Specialist

About The Role
You will report directly to the Director of Contracts, and this is an onsite office position. You will review and administer supply chain and procurement contracts—including service agreements, consulting contracts, software licenses, and equipment rentals. You will work with Legal and Insurance to negotiate vendor terms, manage language changes, and ensure compliance with internal approval processes. Responsibilities include analyzing complex contract terms (warranty, indemnity, liability, insurance), supporting corporate and plant partners from contract initiation through completion, and managing contract files, amendments, deadlines, and audit documentation. You will also support acquisition/divestiture activities and oversee Statements of Work and contracts tied to IST and Administrative Services.
Key Responsibilities
Apply broad and in-depth knowledge of contract management and procurement to support complex projects.
Resolve advanced contractual and operational issues using wide-ranging technical expertise.
Operate at a high level across several areas, serving as an advanced contributor.
Make informed decisions on complex and often ambiguous matters related to contract execution, compliance, and risk mitigation.
Recommend improvements to contract processes to enhance efficiency and reduce exposure.
Lead research into external innovations and industry best practices, identifying opportunities to improve internal systems and services.
Manage and contribute to complex projects, determining appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.
Define procedures for new assignments and ensure understanding of organizational goals and compliance standards.
Be the project or technical lead on medium to large-scale projects, coordinating efforts across departments and external team members.
Mentor team members on technical skills, contract procedures, and compliance standards to build internal capability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in contract management and/or administration, or equivalent education.
Previous knowledge of multiple supply chain/procurement contracts required.
Experience with Industrial and Services Contracts.
