Job Overview This role involves administering and supporting Oracle databases, Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), and Oracle APEX applications to ensure system stability and performance.
Responsibilities
Administer and support Oracle databases, Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), and Oracle APEX applications.
Manage Oracle EBS modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
Perform quarterly security patching, system upgrades, and database maintenance.
Deploy changes and enhancements for Oracle APEX applications.
Monitor and resolve database and application issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
Manage Oracle database job scheduling and automation tasks.
Support database upgrades and migrations, including transitions to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Maintain and troubleshoot environments across Linux and Windows operating systems.
Create and manage Oracle service requests and ensure timely issue resolution.
Develop and maintain scripts for data loads and routine database operations.
Ensure adherence to database best practices, RDBMS principles, and SDLC processes.
Collaborate with development and support teams to ensure seamless deployments.
Provide accurate effort estimates and maintain technical documentation.
Support after-hours work including nights and weekends for patching and upgrades.
Qualifications
Strong experience with Oracle Database Administration (version 19 preferred).
Hands‑on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) in Linux environments.
Experience with Oracle APEX (versions 21 and 24), including workflow and deployments.
Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
Experience with database patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts and database best practices.
Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Oracle Unified Auditing.
Experience designing Oracle-based solutions and supporting software development.
Experience migrating Oracle EBS and databases to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Strong scripting experience for automation and data processing tasks.
Ability to create clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
