The
Senior Contract Specialist
is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of contracts across the full contract lifecycle. This role serves as a key steward of contract execution, managing agreements through documentation, review, approval, and signature using the Salesforce (Conga) Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.
In addition to end‑to‑end contract processing, this role supports the day‑to‑day operations of the Contract Management function, including reporting, data integrity, and compliance with established policies and procedures. The Senior Contract Specialist partners closely with Legal, Business Development, Sales, and other internal stakeholders to resolve issues, maintain service excellence, and ensure timely, accurate contract execution.
This position also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, participating in projects aimed at streamlining contracting workflows, enhancing system utilization, and improving operational efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day contract execution workflows for the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO).
Facilitate contract workflows and maintain document accuracy and data integrity within the Salesforce (Conga) CLM system.
Coordinate internal approvals and signature processes to ensure timely contract execution; facilitate agreements for external countersignature.
Prepare and deliver end‑of‑month (EOM) and end‑of‑quarter (EOQ) reporting to partners in accordance with GPO contract terms.
Participate in initiatives focused on automation and process improvement to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Assist with the creation of contract summaries and supporting materials for internal Sales teams and GPO members.
Participate in contract reviews, providing insight into negotiations, execution strategy, and implementation considerations.
Draft and prepare contractual agreements based on customer requirements, business objectives, and applicable regulations.
Collaborate closely with Business Development, Legal (including lawyers and paralegals), and other cross‑functional teams.
Review contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable federal and state regulations.
Clearly communicate contractual terms and requirements to partners and stakeholders in clear, accessible language.
Manage deliverables independently, ensuring drafts and finalized documents are completed accurately and on schedule.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree required
7+ years of relevant professional experience
Critical Skills & Experience
4+ years of experience in contract management, negotiation, sourcing, supply chain, or contract execution
Experience with Salesforce (Apttus/Conga) or other contract management systems required
DocuSign experience required
Strong working knowledge of legally binding contractual language and terminology
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
Results‑oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Pharma and/or oncology experience preferred but not required
Paralegal certification highly desirable
Experience with contracting best practices (e.g., redlining, facilitation, execution)
Strong project management skills with appropriate judgment and accountability
Proven ability to partner cross‑functionally and deliver positive outcomes for internal and external stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to propose practical solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently
Demonstrated adherence to company policies, procurement rules, and compliance standards

Our Base Pay Range for this position
$102,400 - $170,600
