We specialize in Canine Hiking Excursions, Dog Walking, and Overnight Pet Sitting - offering dogs enriching outdoor experiences in a structured, safe and social environment.We're looking for someone who enjoys being outside, feels comfortable around dogs, and is interested in pack dynamics, canine behavior, and enrichment-based care.You'll be working with small groups of 4-5 dogs on 2 hour Hiking Excursions with pick up and drop off at the clients home, as well as Private Walks and Pet Sitting opportunities.What We're Looking For & Responsibilities :- Strong comfort handling multiple dogs at once- Interest in canine behavior, body language, and pack dynamics.- Monitor behavior and safety on trails- Ability to hike for 2+ hours in varied terrain and weather- Reliable, responsible, detail-oriented- Valid driver's license and your own reliable vehicle (required)- Prior dog handling experience preferred, but not required- Safely transporting dogs to and from hikes (pick up/drop off at clients homes required)- Provide structured, positive socialization experiences for dogs- Good communication with clients and team members clearly and professionallyDetails & Schedule :- Part-time to start, with room to grow- Weekday availability for Hiking Excursions, weekend & weekday availability for Dog Walking and Pet Sitting- Based in the Catskills/Hudson Valley Region - We currently service Kingston, Saugerties, Woodstock, Phoenicia, Big Indian, Fleischmanns, Margaretville, Andes, Roxbury (and in between!)- Pay - $35-$50 / an hour for Hiking Excursions, see website for details on Overnight Pet SittingWe are a queer/trans
