If so, come join our ever-growing Indirect Auto Lending Program, in a Junior Underwriter, offering on the job training for the right candidate.

EECU is looking for an Indirect Jr. Underwriter that be responsible for making thorough loan decisions in a fast pace environment. Responsible for underwriting all auto loans that originate at an indirect dealership.

Key Responsibilities for the Indirect Underwriter: ability to understand and implement lending guidelines to maintain an acceptable credit risk; loans submitted through indirect must comply with EECU’s lending criteria, SOPs, and state requirements. The Underwriter will respond to dealers in a timely manner on all loan applications, request required contacts, and handle any contract issues that fall outside of original approval. Position requires diplomacy and tact when working directly with dealers, and the Underwriter will call on dealers to build strong dealer relationships.

High school degree or equivalent is required; a college degree or business related education preferred

Must be available: Monday‑Friday between hours 8am‑8pm, Saturdays 9am‑7pm

EECU will, in compliance with applicable laws, evaluate an applicant’s credit history. Only applicants with good credit history will be considered for open positions.

Position is eligible for Hybrid schedule once training is successfully completed (approx. 6 months). 3 days (M‑W‑F) in office per week.

Responsible for compliance with all Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining to banking, such as the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti‑Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg B, Reg Z, Service Members Civil Relief, and FCRA/FACTA. Required to attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training. EECU will, in compliance with applicable laws, evaluate an applicant’s credit history. Only applicants with good credit history will be considered for open positions.
