Outside Sales Account Manager

Job Description Job Description Commercial Outside Sales Ireland Electric Company is a premier electrical apparatus sales and service company, seeking a highly motivated Outside Account Manager to join our sales team. Responsibilities include: * Build professional relationships with and sell to federal government, municipals, industry, mechanical contractors and more * Points of contact will include maintenance/production supervisors, foremen, purchasing/buyers and others * Sell our full product line including wholesale products and our service business which repairs and installs products that we sell and service * Provide superior service to accounts * In person calls on current and prospective customers * Maintain sales objectives * Follow up on quotes and projects * Update sales report records * Most accounts in local territory—Southside and/or Peninsula * Find ways to penetrate the market and gain market share—grow your territory! Required Qualifications * Familiarity with selling wholesale products and services * Your products will be industrial rotating electrical/mechanical apparatus such as electric motors, pumps, exhaust fans, controls for these products, as well as LED lighting upgrades * High degree of motivation * Successful track record in sales * Stable employment history with at least 1-3 years of sales experience * Excellent skills with Microsoft Office products (such as email and Word), web browser and mobile phone * Ability to clearly and professionally communicate through verbal and written means * Good driving record meeting company vehicle insurance requirements * Ability to enter and exit company vehicle (pickup truck) numerous times daily, and spend most hours, each day, driving * Walks, climbs, lifts, bends, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine basis * Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds * Ability to pass background checks in order to secure a DBIDS and/or other similar government access passes Education/Experience * Minimum HS degree or GED * College preferred; Successful experience considered We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package. * 401(k) with company match * Health insurance * Vacation & Personal Leave Time * Holidays * Flexible Spending Account * Dental, Vision and AFLAC at Group Rates Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and DMV check.
